Not necessarily so.
The main thing is, if the "vessel" (body, mind, consciousness) is purified or attuned or "made ready and prepared" then that is a mark of a prophet.
I think prophets are pivotal in particular junctures in the history of man. A major prophet will have to be specifically "pre-ordained" and "selected" according to "sam'skara" while minor ones are to a lesser degree.
Intuition can flow from "within" which is potentially accessible to all. I believe knowledge of fundamental cycles even into the epochal cycles and "knowing" how the Mind of God works and its nature, is a way to see prophecy.

I'm not a prophet and I see and hear angel I can here them
sing. If you can hear God you can hear them. In the Bible God
calls him prophet angels have you seen it the angels of old
that's the prophets.

seems logical iseen angels they haven't left a message as yet so just seeing isn't the point of being a prophet unless they done it without realizing what they have done that can happen too. i have also heard the spirit that G-D gives to those that want to be in obedience to H-M. I heard "my father ,my Father ,my Father" that was a sweet trip down memory lane!

A prophet speaks prophecy.

Prophecy is the present will of God, or things that God will do in the future.

im sure it helps all the prophits in the bible were did not speak to angels or directly from god...alot wrote what they felt god was wanting them to write,,,i think prophecy is a feeling or visions,,,nostrodomous had alot of prophecy come true and i never heard him speakof god or angels for sources of insight
