I should add it's actually a short driveway/parking pad. We have a garage already, this would be additional parking.

The forum listed below has people discussing the differences between steel mesh and fiber mesh.

Steel wire mesh: may rust & discolour driveway. It shouldn't corrode if it is covered properly with concrete.
Fiber mesh: may degrade with water exposure. It shouldn't degrade if it is properly protected by resin in the FG composite.

For a driveway I would recommend #4 steel reinforcing bar.

No I don't know the difference, but I do know a driveway is no substitute for a garage

One is made of steel the other is made of fiber. HAHA! Don't know anything else. Seems like steel would last longer though.
