Wow, what horrible information.

eBay has a policy against selling firearms on their site. It's a waste of time to even try.

Auction Arms and Gunbroker are probably the two largest firearms auction websites around. But you can't just buy a gun there and have it shipped to you. The purchase must be made through your local FFL (federal licensee), like a gun dealer.

Find a dealer that will do FFL-to-FFL transfers (ask; you'll usually have to pay for the service) and then buy your firearm. Go to your local FFL holder and give him the address of the seller's FFL. Your dealer will send a signed copy of his license to the seller's dealer, and the transfer will initiate.

Obviously state waiting periods, background checks, etc. still apply.

You can't buy a gun online and have it shipped to you unless you have an FFL, which if you did you wouldn't be asking this question.

If you find a gun you like at gun broker or arms america you can pay for it, but you will have to coordinate with a local gun store so it can be shipped there and then you go pick it up, after filling out a 4473 and passing a NCIC check. Your local gun store will probably charge you $20 to $30 for providing this service.

Local pawn stores may be a better option if you are looking for something on the lower-end price wise. In my experience though you need to know something about guns and know what you are looking for, because they won't be as knowledgable as your average gun store employee. You might also try a gun show in your area.

Manevitch, I'm in total agreement. The amount of misinformation I see in the answers to any gun-related question is staggering. It's like people just figure whatever makes sense to them is the law regardless of what the law actually is.

Hey, Ben, did you know you put your yahoo 360º profile on the web, how much do you want to bet the nsa or another organization is at this moment zeroing in on your location to check out what you want to do with a cheap handgun. Personally, I don't much care what you do, but unless you're just effing with our heads, you really should pull this question before something happens. What would you do if someone actually gave you a website for cheap handguns. So in closing, be sure to check your smoke detectors and telephones for listening devices. Good luck and good hunting, bud

You cannot. Anywhere that says differently is a BATF sting operation.
It is a big time federal offence to try.

OOOH Ben, temper, temper. I can see now why you want a gun. You shouldn't go calling names. Maybe you should forget the gun. Seek counseling instead. Really
