A few days ago I posted a question about a guys wife had an affair and what should he do. She claimed that she only did it one time. So we washed his bed sheets that night and yesterday we checked them with a Black light. There was sperm and sememn all over them. She has been sleeping with her guys in his bed since that happen. They are going to divorce. Did I do the right thing to help him?

Like someone else said, getting involved in someone else's marital problems is a risky business since you are potentially contributing to the breakup of a marriage.
Yes, semen does flouresce under black light, along with some other bodily fluids.
In this case, I hope you did a controlled experiment -- checking the sheets with a black light AFTER you washed them, to see if there were any traces left from past encounters of any sort. If you didn't check the sheets to get a baseline, you don't know what was there ahead of time and thus what was "new."
Since I didn't see the results of your sleuthing, I also can't tell whether the traces you discovered matched the, uh, typical 'spill patterns' for what you were looking for.
[...gee, I can't believe I'm talking about this...]
Are you sure it was semen? Or was there the possibility of it being other bodily fluids that might have flouresced?
How did she respond to your detective work? Did she confess to the add'l encounter? Did she protest? Her reaction would help confirm/deny your analysis, to some degree.
Like I said, I would be hesitant to get involved in such a big issue, and definitely NOT without knowing a lot more about what I was doing ahead of time.

PS. Kitty: Your spelling is not much better that what you complained about... the correct spelling is "semen" -- a "seaman" is a guy that sails around in a boat. (lol)

No, you didn't. Because it could have been his sperm. You should know that some stains are hard to get out of sheets. The hotels/cruise ships if you were to run the black light on the linen you would find semen on their sheets, comforts and spreads. Just because you found sperm does not mean it was someone else. Never help someone divorce their wife or husband, it;s truly none of your business. Remember this when you get married and if you are already married. What goes on in their marriage is between them and should stay that way.

Those could have been blood stains that showed up under the black light. The only way to prove whose semen it was would have been by taking a DNA sample of the bed sheets, which I´m assuming would be VERY expensive. Did you do the right thing? Your intentions were good but you should have made him aware that the results of the black light test are not conclusive.

If you were trying to look out for your friend yes. Most people who cheat don't just do it once. That goes for men and women. But everyone gives tell tale signs that something is going on. He must not of thought she was still doing something if he went along. He did say yes. Unless you put a gun to his head then you should not worry. Unless you think he left the sperm in the bed. Even then you were trying to help. You would want him to do the same for you. Right?

It is true that old semen stains are hard to get out and the stains that you saw may be the husbands. The question is did the wife deny having sex with anybody else after the initial confrontation or did she just pack up and leave?

LOL. Dude, you are a paranoid idiot. You can't see blood/semen with just a black light. You have to spray a substanct (Luminol) on the area first. You are a fool. And I hope your friend gets dumped.

Huh? You all sound demented! And by the way, you cannot see sperm, they are microscopic. And it's "semen." Forget washing sheets and learn to spell. Again, what a bunch of demented people you must be!
