I was going through my son's room today, and found a cigar box with a bunch of razor blades, some straws cut in half, and 2 small baggies of white powder. I asked him about and he said that it was a science experiment he was working on for school. He became very evasive, and said it was top secret. I am just curious what he is working on.

That could be any number of drugs from cocaine or meth all the way to chopped up pills. My suggestion to you would be to confiscate the box (if you can find it now that you let it back out of your control) and then drug test your kid. Time to start monitoring his actions closer and take away the car keys...

Sorry to have to say this to you, but I do not think your son is working on any science experiment. If he was, why would he be so evasive? Did you think to call the school and speak to his science teacher about this experiment top secret or not?

Honestly, as many have already said, that don't sound like any science experiment that we took in school, so the answer most likely is that your son "is sniffling" cocaine. Yes, the white stuff.

If I was in your shoes, I'd arrange a meeting with his science teacher while he's at school and let them call him to reveal more about this experiment. He';ll be mad at you if it's not what it really is, but if you love your son, you'll nip that habit in the bud before you start to miss stuff around the house since he'll soon have to feed that habit and it calls for cash he won't have.

Good luck and tell us what happen please...you're not alone...so contact his school and save him now.

Your worst nightmare has come true. Drugs. Take the drugs to your local police station and have them tested. Then take your son to a treatment center and let them know what he has been using. He will only bring more home if you don't get him the proper help. Treatment may take some time, but if you love your son you will do this for him. Don't let him be another young mind that falls through the cracks of one of our country's biggest murderers. My heart goes out to you and my prayers are with you. You have to be strong.

HMMMM, coming from a former user, I would say that he is on drugs. My gramma caught my dad, yes my dad, weighing some white powder on a scale and he told her it was lead powder for some kind of construction. Really, get a clue. Your kid is lying to you. If you don't want him to ruin his life, get him some help.

hate to break it to you...sounds like he's doing drugs. Don't let him get the better of you...if he's experimenting with drugs like cocaine now, it could lead to a heroin addiction which is the worst kind...very painful withdrawal symptoms. get the powder tested to see if it really is drugs and talk to your son, find out why he feels the need to experiment with drugs and get him to sober up.

Sounds to me like he is snorting cocaine or meth. Hate to be blunt, but you should confiscate those bags quickly and find out what he's been up to.
