You wouldn't expect a police officer to trust a suspect who changes his story 4 times, why should I?

politicians are always out to get votes and will say whatever it takes to get them. As you get older you will know the liars from the truth tellers and you will see that most of them do not tell the truth! Your right...you wouldn't expect a police officer to trust a suspect who changes his story!

The distinction is that the suspect is talking about a discrete set of events that has happened in the past while a politician is talking about policy that affects the future and is subject to change based on everchanging circumstances.

Still...4 times would make me wonder about whether there's a moral compass in there.

You should NEVER trust politicians, period. EVEN if they do the things they promise, the reason is not "for the cause", it's for their political career.

Definitely no, ask us mexicans about Lopez Obrador, he has changed his version of things several times just to keep advancing his hunger for power. Do I believe in aithing he says he will do? Heck no, that is one thing certain of him, lol.
