For the record, I'm a staunch conservative and I despise Bush.

Do people out there really think Bush is conservative? How so? He's expanding the power of the federal government, specifically his particular office, like no other president I know of. The Patriot Act alone grants so much power it's scary. His whole "moral" platform fell flat on its face as Bush hasn't done a single moral thing in his whole presidency.

It's just amazing to me how people will read the label, but never look to see what's inside.

If you are a conservative and like Bush, please do explain how you think he is conservative. I'd love to hear this...

Well, I'm a conservative and I support Bush.

I support his stand on gay marriage and abortion
I support his fight against terrorism

He was a way better choice than Kerry. I honestly think President Bush is doing what he thinks is best for our nation. I'd rather the war be in Iraq than here in the US.

I agree that Iraq is a mess. I don't think we can leave now for several reasons. One being, we are dumb to think that leaving Iraq will change the fact that Al-qaeda and all the other links to them will then suddenly leave us alone. All of their leaders have vowed to kill and destroy us and Israel.

I agree that the environment is a mess
Domestic spending is a mess
Foreign policy is lacking

I'm probably naive on the Patriot Act but I thought it was a good thing. It has affected my life because of my job. A lot more details are required on people and they will match up names, dob's, and ss#'s to verify people. More work for me but I think better in the long run.

I happen to be one of those religious people that believes that once we loose sight of all religious morality that our nation will come crashing down. Look at all the great empires of the past. Even Benjamin Franklin who was not a religious man believed it was needed for it's morals. To me, morality is a HUGE issue. Religion is a HUGE issue. We are a godless nation. People profess Christianity but don't live it. That's why our children are the most narcissistic generation our country has ever seen. Well...that's my two cents. I'll get off my soapbox.

*funny how being religious means I have no logic. lol Oh well.

Yeah, you are as liberal has Kerry the fairy or Howard the coward Dean...

No real conservative thinks of Bush as a conservative and you've proven your own lib-tard roots by absorbing crapola from the New York Times and the other major players in what passes for news media in this country...

Most conservatives despise Bush. It's just the way his administration twists the truth in controlling the news media, they make it appear there are some people who actually like him.

Just wait, after mid term elections, I will bet a hundred dollar bill he will never make it to 2008 without impeachment.

I also predict that after elections, there are going to be numerous class action law suites brought against all the major oil companies for their raping, pillaging, and plundering the American citizens with Illegal price fixing and price gouging.
We should all get back a handsome sum and Bush will be back to chopping mesquite in Texas. (Oh happy day!)

I am a moderate and I dislike him in the extreme.

Its easier to stereotype than to believe level-headed people out there think you are wrong.

ps: Don't forget how his conservative spending has produced the 3 largest annual budget deficits in US history.

they all think that no one else can fight terror... and no one else has any morals... that's what it comes down too... it's just that simplistic and naive... as many have demonstrated before me...

for "conservatives" that still like Bush there is a HUGE shutdown of logic.... it's a "the only person that would do things this way is Bush and everyone else would just run away" attitude... which of course is completely untrue and really even silly if you take more than 2 minutes to examine what you're saying...

Did you ever hear of tax cuts, pro-life, protecting the country, a better life for working people?
The Patriot Act hasn't taken away any of your freedoms unless you spend a lot of time on the phone to terrorists.
You are not a conservative.

Many conservatives are waking up to the fact that all Bush is a coke snorting, alcoholic and a liar. His approval rating is sinking fast, every time he opens his mouth he displays more ignorance. So no, it is not surprising to me that more and more people that view Bush unfavorably are not just liberals.

I don't know, but that would make 75% of americans democrats, and that can't be true. I am conservative as in the Goldwater conservatives, but even Reagan would be considered left of center these days...

It's the "enemy of my enemy" mindset in reverse.

They assume that there are only two sides and only two perspectives. Anyone who opposes what they believe is the enemy ("if you're not with us you're against us").

And since Bush is supposedly backed by the neo-conservatives and Republicans, then anyone who opposes him must be the enemy. And the only enemy is the liberals.

It's the same argument that liberals must support terrorists, if they don't support Bush. All or nothing, with us or against us.

Delusional. But rampant.

Stingray,

The ability of citizens to sue corporations for protections or compensation is one of the areas that the Bush regime is throttling. So much for separation of powers.
