Yes they do. Especially the farmers. When I lived in Holland it was not unusual to see people riding their bikes wearing clogs. I even have a pair myself. Very comfortable. Here's a site which sells Dutch wooden shoes: http://www.woody2shoes.com/

Not all Dutch, but many did and still do. The wooden clogs are really comfortable, warm in winter, and cool in summer. It's interesting that the design of the wooden shoe has been 'borrowed' by a couple of shoe companies in North America, made in plastic, and is one of the hottest selling shoes in NA this summer. Like their predecessors, the plastic clogs are comfortable to wear, especially around the water, and really popular with boaters because the float (as the wooden shoes did).
Today the wooden shoes are largely (but not wholly) a tourist item, just as kilts are in Scotland. A few people still wear them for real, but not the majority of the population.
Still -- it's fun to see traces of a culture retained, isn't it?

It used to be fairly common but not so much now. I lived there in the early 70's and once and a while you would see them being worn by the workers who worked on the cobblestone roads.

It is an old custom which is rare in this modern country. You most likely to find people wearing them at folk festivals and other special events. Of course, you can buy them and try wearing them for yourself...Birkenstocks, they're not!
