DEFINITELY! My siblings and I have worked all our lives -- our parents were Senior Citizens when we were in High School (which got a LOT of comments -- especially considering our father was a paraplegic from WWII), died when we were very young adults, we worked our way through college, and then went on to successful Military and Civilian Careers. But for us, the attitude was the key ... we knew that no matter how hard it was, and how many stumbling blocks were put in our way, that we WOULD be able to succeed and WANTED to put forth the effort and were WILLING to sacrifice early for later success.

yes, it may take therapy but I think it can be done. A person has to really want to.
Remember what happened back then is not the persons fault.
I think that is the most important thing is whatever it is it's not the childs fault.
Then their has to be a forgivness to whoever made it so bad/moving on so to speak

Sure. You have to be willing to let it go and not be a crutch or an excuse. It's your choice. Use it to make you a stronger person not a weak person.
