he has a split tail, one black circle on each of its tail, you can see thru them, they are kind of grey or silver colored(i think its their stomach), and in the middle of their body you can see a black line that runs from their head to their tail.

Sounds like some kind of Chub or Shiner Minnow. The black line from head to tail is what keyed me in on your description.

it does sound kinda like my longtail that i have right now but im not sure so take a picture of it and post ti online someone will be able to tell you wht it is or take the picture to a pet store and ask someone or look in the tanks for a fish of similar markings

If you have a digital camera, post a picture of it. Then I'm sure someone will be able to tell you what it is.

go to the library or pet store & get a book about fish
