hey im from minnesota...wild are the best......i absolutely hate the canucks.....so if you are a canucks fan ......lets see what you have to say to this......and if yer not a canucks fan....well just pick whatever team you like better and why......go wild..and gaborik is the best player in the nhl.....he had 38 goals last year in 65 games and he is on the most defensive team in the nhl...put gaborik on a team like ottawa or detroit...that would be pretty scary

Minnesota could be scary with a combo like Demitra and Gaborik but will the king of boring hockey Jacque Lemaire allow it?! As you alluded to Gaborik is one of the best true snipers in the league, unfortunately he doesn't play in a very offensive minded system. Though I predecit he will get 50 goals this year!
The Canucks have been a shell of their former selves ever since the Bertuzzi incident. They've finally put that chapter behind them by trading Big Bert and look to rebound this year. Adding Luongo is a big step but they lost their best dman in Jovanowski (though Ohlund is probably just as good) and that's going to hurt them. I expect Naslund to have a better year but more so I think this will be the year of the Sedins!
It's going to be very close but I do believe the Wild have a good chance of out performing the Canucks this year but it's not a lock. Regardless the Wild are a team on their way up, the Canucks seem to be on their way down.

Why do you hate the Canucks so much? What have they ever done to your team the Wild? I believe it was your team the Wild that came back from 3-1 down to win against the Canucks in round two of the 2003 playoffs. I think the Canucks choked and let the Wild come back and win,and just for that you hate the Canucks. Makes sense to me!

What is your question who is better the Canucks or the Wild? I think the Canucks are better. Gaborik is not the best player in the NHL although he is pretty good.

I'm from Vancouver and I don't like the Canucks even a bit. They let me down every season and playoffs. Lost to Minnesota a few years back when they were up 3-1 in the playoffs. Too much choking and don't have the heart.

gotta go with Canucks deeper team although goal tending is suspect. Wild are showing good improvement every year though they just need some of the players in their system to step up and fill the weak spots.

god youre wrong the canucks beat minnesota pretty much every time last year they have a better team and now they have a great goalie so the package is complete

Remember the North Stars? Man I loved that team. But after they left I sorta fell in love with the Oilers. But I have to say though, Minnesota will always be one hell of a hockey town, and they'll always have one hell of a team.
