My boyfriend is in his last year of medical school right now. I havent been able to talk to him a lot lately because I go to school 2-3 hours away from him. And hes been telling me he is very busy. So what does 4th year medical students do? Like are they still taking classes or are they out in the hospitals?

I would say it is a mixture of both in the field and in the class room.

4th year medical students usually have to take their MCATs and prepare their essays, rec letters and everything to get into medical school. They're studying a LOT. The MCATs are about 8 hours long, so they have to study nonstop for months (or weeks, depending on the student) if they want to look good for the medical school applications. Don't worry about him, he'll be putty by the time he's done with MCATs and he'll be coming back to you =).
