okay so this question is mostly already posted but here is some extra info...there are two characters Enari and Sahra...Enari has mostly powers based on his mind...ie teleconesis, empathy,telepathy...well he needs something more active...Sahra can make illusions blow crap up..its more extensive but not going into detail...astral projection and shape shifting...we dont want them to have the exact same powers but they can kind of coincide like you know work as a double team so yeah any suggestions would be helpful...oh and NO pyrokinesis

Active, different, and no pyrotics, eh? You're difficult. Let's see...
Lightning, perhaps? Or is that too close to "blow crap up?" Ummmm...Create a sonic boom in some way? Again, blowing stuff up. Really, that's the only "active" you're going to get, blowing crap up. Raising storms, maybe? Controlling water, like the aliens did on "Abyss?" Making trees and plants get up and walk, go after people?
I don't know, shoot lasers out their butt? ;-)
Really, this is imagination, surely you can think of SOMETHING. Just pick something, anything, that you'd like to be able to do. Then, figure out what's needed in a fantasy of sci-fi setting to achieve it.

Always keep it simple, readers are easily distracted. Most people want to be able to associate with a character, give a character too much of something and people can't get into it and move on to something else. Just do a little research on what type of powers people would most want to have.

How about aerokinesis which is the ability to raise wind storms such as tornados? Remote presense can be an entertaining ability. Remote viewing can be very useful for a character.
My best suggestion for you however is you do some research on the various abilities because you don't seem to know much about them or what they are supposed to be able to do.

I write and all I can tell you is that you have to use your own thinking and creating a character, not ask other people. If you do that you are cheating and using someone else's idea. Are you willing to pay them some of the profit when you publish your book? Because you could get sued!

How about a charcter which is never created. Whenever he needs illumination he pees and his urine comes out florecent. Whenever he is attacked he farts poisnous gas. Whenever he needs to get laid, he closes his eyes and here he goes... How does this sound for new idea?
