Ok..so..my sophomore year just started and my mom is my Spanish teacher..just the way things worked out...Im just like one of the students..I dont see anything or do anything they dont do..
So what happened...this guy found out..but it was like "our little secret"
Well..now..this girl just found out and right away she's like OMG you're the teacher's daughter?!?!
Then she told a few other people..
I know they probably think it's cool or whatever..but tomorrow I dont want her to blab it to the whole class...
Let's say she does..would that lessen my chances of making friends..since Im pretty new and dont have many yet..
thanks.

Oh my god! The exact same thing is going on for me right now. But twice as bad as you! I have TWO parents at MY school! My mom wasn't my teacher, but my dad was my science teacher. This one girl found out about 2 weeks into school, and didn't tell anyone, but then somehow EVERYONE found out. It sucked for a while, but then it kind of evened out and was okay. I still get that "Are you Mr. so-and-so's kid?" It's really annoying, but I've learned to deal. I feel for you! It'll be okay! :)

Never mine this. Eventually everyone will find out sooner or later. The truth always comes out.

What you can do is to prepare yourself mentally so that it won't come as a surprise.

Once your mom treats you just like the other kids with no special treatment, then the other kids would not feel threathen.

Many other kids was in this situation before as their mom's or father's were teachers and they adjusted well.

Don't worry to much, you will see that it will work out.

No. People should like you no matter what. I knew people who's moms were subs all the time at my school, plus some younger kids who's parents are full time teachers, and even administrators. They weren't treated any differently. Unless you're a complete jerk, the nice, polite, normal people probably wont care either way.

Don't worry about it...hopefully your mom will be a cool person and then the kids will be envious of you for having such an excellent mother as a teacher...but then again if she isn't cool...well lets just say ...you need to move to a different school!!
