I say everyday you wake up, look at the mirror and say to yourself "Today, I'm doing to be at my best" until you get a smile from yourself. It may seem small, but words can do wonders to your confidence.

The best way to develop confidence is to take small steps. Start by sitting in a car and learning where all of the controls are and what they do. Become comfortable with finding everything you need to do to operate the car. Next have a friend drive while you watch his actions while driving. Practice what he did while parked. Just pretend to be driving. Make turns apply the brakes, etc. Next go to an open area with no other cars. Practice driving at a very slow speed and turn, back up, and park the car. Do this until you are comfortable with driving in an area with very few cars, than gradually work up to driving and parking in traffic. Just remember to go to the next step only when you are confident.

Self confidence does not come all of a sudden. When we realise that we also can come out successfully in whatever things we try, even if it happens to be a small one, we develop on it or try new things. But there are certainly people who are confident of their success(even if they fail) because they are very clear in their mind, their aim is well-directed and their perseverance is really great. Do you know the great scientist Thomas Alwa Edison failed thousand times in his inventions. But you know what he said, "I learnt how not to make mistakes in 1000 ways". Secondly, age is not a factor. Many great achievements in the world are by men/women who crossed their fifties or sixties or so.

So your light or weak desire should become an aim, i.e. very strong desire. If that comes, no obstacles will matter. Your perseverance is what is needed. So keep trying. All the best.

Realize happiness is a choice. Work up to it. Make a list, so you can acknowledge why you want to do this.... But a trusted friend in the car with you. Have them take you to a parking lot till you get the hang of it. Also, take note that fear can inhibit your ability to drive. But hey, if they can do it, so can you =0)
