i've searched e-bay and online "discount" stores, but all of them are either really expensive or the shipping is astronomical.
is there any solution? do tailoring places ever have old dress forms? i'm not looking for an antique one, i'm looking for a useable one, but it doesn't have to be state-of-the-art. the brand new designer-house ones i've seen, even from "wholesale" or "discount" places are still between $600 and $900. yikes! eek!

try walmart, they have them for like $80.00-$100.00

If you live near a college that teaches fashion, they cycle out forms every few years, and now students often have to buy their own. You can ask the administration if there are any available you can purchase cheaply, or put up a post on the boards asking if anyone wants to sell one. Never know, some student might be getting out of the major or graduating and getting new stuff...needs beer money.

Any place they sale fabric . If your in Pa. then it's Joanne's Fabric Shop . Look at some flea markets they have some there too .

You can check at dry cleaning stores. You have a certain amount of time to pick your clothes up, and then they sell them for really cheap prices. I would really just keep looking at discount stores and things. Places like Tj Max and Marshalls are a little more expensive, but Ross is a little cheaper. Just look around, look for sales, and keep looking... I wouldn't really buy anything online, because then you can't see it in person or try it on...and you pay a lot in shipping. Another place to look is in the news paper...a lot of people will put that they are selling something... and its cheap..Go to garage/yard sales!!! Good luck!!
