I was at school when a tire factory just down the street caught on fire. The principal came out to the portables and told the classes that we had to go to the library when there the TV was on the news and that is where I heard of the trade center. We were also terrified because of the tire fire and all the black smoke outside and though there was more then one attack going on. Once at home I watched it on the news all night. I have never felt anything as pain full. watching those poor souls seeing the towers collapse i cried for months afterwords for the families.......Still do ....

In Colorado we are 2 hours behind New Yorks time. I was driving to work (I was working at a hospital). I passed the airport and saw a plane taking off then turn around and try to land. I was thinking that it was weird. When I got to the hospital and did shift change I went into a patients room, she just had surgery. She was crying. I asked her if she was ok, did she need pain pills. She said she was ok, she feels sorry for the people in New York and she told me to look at the TV. I did and that's when I heard about the 2 airplanes hitting the twin towers. Then it dawned on me why I saw the plane turn around and land again. I saw the news cast and started crying. My patient and I sat there crying and hugging each other for about 10 minutes.

In math class. I think it was 3rd or 4th period. All I remember is that I didn't know what the World Trade Center was, and then they turned on the TV, and my jaw dropped at all the smoke billowing from the top of that building.

Me and my step mom was on our way to the beach when we heard about 9/11. We had been listening to a cd so we didn't know what was going on, until we stopped at a gas station and seen it on the tv. Some vacation huh?

I was at school we had just watched Channel One News. Someone came running in my class and told us and the teacher started panicking and all we did for the rest of the school day was watch the news about it. I got home and cried thinking about seeing all those people jumping from the buildings to get away from the smoke.

I was on my way home after dropping my kids off at school and will always remember the radio report. Then I went home turned on the television and watched even as both buildings collapsed on live tv. What a strange site!

I was at the bank signing papers for a car loan. Was the strangest feeling day.
I worked as a sewer pipe inspector, I had a small tv going in my van while I was doing inspections with camers. People were coming out of their houses talking to me, about. Very sad day.

At home watching the news when they broke in with the news about a plane hitting the tower. I remember seeing the second plane heading for the other tower and thinking that this was no accident.
