The birth of my children as well as the birth of my grandchildren. I have had a series of defining moments. That's what life is all about. I look forward to more defining moments as I face new experiences until the day I die.

"Gosh Phestdo, I've been subjected to "epiphanies" every 3 or 4 years which catapult me into phenomenal states of understanding. I keep traveling in these "leaps" and I'm not certain why. They seem to happen to other people also; although, the intervals of time differ. If I must guess to comprehend them, then I suppose the "epiphanies" are time-release capsules of neurotransmitters which reinforce memory and recall. Immediately after an "epiphany" I become inventive and creative in science and literature, politics and economics. Probably, the most important function I demonstrate is an insatiable appetite for learning. I suppose that appetite turned me towards yahooanswers, among other places.
The accomplishments of eliminating most of my avarice, pride, lust, covetousness, sloth and indifference has turned me into a new person, but, I am not depressed because of it.
Thanks for your question because it appears I experience more than one defining moment and they seem to continue."

My defining moment in life was the death of both my father and my best friend.
It made me realize how much I love them and how I take them for granted sometimes.
I mean you really don't think about how much your life rotates around the people you love until they're gone.

I think my defining moment has come several times. It has not been just one thing, but a series of events and realizations. Some have been so remarkable I can hardly believe they happened, while others have been like quiet revelations to my soul and mind. Some have come with great pain, others with great joy.

I guess when I had breast cancer. I realized that or life really is not under our control. I had a blockage in my heart, but I just gave it to God, and said if it is my time, I will just be in Heaven. I did not die. When I was with my Mother, saying to her, fly away now, and be with God. I realized that she wanted to go, and I had to release her to God. That was the hardest, knowing that she was gone. You have to let go but when you do, you become more spiritual. I feel her every day with me, and I have grown closer to God. My husband came close to death as well, and I have accepted that when it is your time, then you will go. It just dawned on me that Heaven and being with God, is the best place to be, rather than this world. We must learn lessons and push on, living is the hardest, dying is the easiest. When you overcome your fear of dying, and realize that you do have a purpose for being here, then you accept that you must find that purpose and do it before your time is up, the Father, will decide when that time will be. I am free, now without any fear, because Father God is now with me, in my heart, in my everyday living, in all things that happen to me. I asked Him to be with me, and he stepped up to plate for me.
