Salesman told me it's AMD Turion 64 x 2 Core Duo Technology, is that true?

by far the best notebook processor is the Intel Core 2 Duo (codenamed Merom). unfortunately there are no products out at the moment, but i suppose the first notebook with that processor will be on the market next month (september 2006).

The processor the salesman reccomended was a good choice. Anything that is duo-core is going to offer very good performance. And AMD is going to be cheaper than Intel.

the Core Duo Is made by Intel, which is over priced atm.
i would advise using the Turion atm.

Seriously, get what you can afford now, as no matter what you buy it will be obsolete in 6 months.
