A pair of my boots are missing from my closet. The only people who could get in here would be my sister (we are both in 20's and share an apt), our mother, or maybe my sister's bf who comes over to see her. She says she didn't take them and my mother wears like a size 4. So could he have taken them and if so, why? I don't want to start a fight over nothin.

look all over your sisters room... and look under your bed. sometimes I find my shoes etc there and have no idea how they got there

Tell your sister that you really would like for your boots to show up, and if she can be of some assistance you would appreciate it. Let her help you look for them again, and stress that if she did take them that it is okay but you would like for her to return them. If she says she doesn't have them well let her know that everybody is suspect until they show up.. Be cordial about it but also let the them know that it matters. No, it is nothing to get in a fight about but there is something called consideration and respect for peoples property and private space. That happened to me before my mother took my boots and let my sister wear them out. All my sister had to do was ask, but I felt like it was handled in a very immature way. I got on my mom and my sister about that childish stunt. I wanted to wear my boots that same night but I couldn't because they were basically stolen. So, I just said if you are to afraid to ask, and get a 'no" for an answer then that means you should forget about the whole idea period. Be afraid enough not to take them because the consequences will be much worse by doing so. Good luck.

Im sure you didn't leave them in the closet. Think back, think! You may just be starting a fight over nothing. Find out if they are really missing from there first. You don't wanna start the fight, then find out that you left them at my house! You would then have to apologize for cheating on your B.F.
