I have a mac book pro and I have just been given what I am told is more memory. On the packet it says: 1GB Ddr2 667Mhz Sodimm
I haven't got a clue as to what to do with it or if it's even possible to put it in my computer. Is it useless to me? How do I put it in?
It looks like a green memory board with all the usuall gold wires and such and down one side it looks as though it's supposed to slot into something..... Any ideas? Real answers are prefered

RAM gives your computer more room to store stuff without having to use the hard drive, meaning improved speed. Therefore, it is a good thing. If you have unoccupied RAM slots in your Macbook Pro, you can insert it for a speed boost. Your Macbook Pro manual has instructions on how to do this, also here: http://docs.info.apple.com/article.html?artnum=303491. Enjoy the new ram and improved speed.

goto crucial.com and look up your model number and it will give you what ram works for your laptop. Then you can check the memory you have against it.
