Being quiet is fine, and I think that most of the time it's better than being loud. Everyone is different. I strongly recommend checking out this book from your library (or buying it):
What Type Am I?: The Myers-Brigg Type Indication Made Easy
by Renee Baron
It might sound boring, but it is an excellent way to get to know the "type" of person that you are, and what your strengths and weaknesses are. It will also help you to understand other types of people better. You can also look at keirsey.com.

It is definitely a good thing. As I'm typing this I have a co-worker who is so loud and obnoxius I would like to punch her lights out. She makes sure that everyone is always aware of her presence. Quiet is wonderful!!

It's neither a good or bad thing. Being quiet is much better than being noisy in my book.

The fact that you are asking this question makes me think you want to put your best foot forward, so I say it is a good thing. Just remember to value your own judgement rather than "people's".

It's good. Just tell them "still waters run deep." Chicks will think you're cool and mysterious.
