For me, if I'm gonna do housework, it helps that it's noisy and I get to use some machinery, if you want to call a vaccuum machinery.

For my husband, he would rather do the easier of the several jobs and vaccuming is easier than sweeping and mopping. Seriously, though, he does help sometimes.

I have often wondered this myself =) Great Q... In my experiance.. i have decided it is the closest thing I have to a power tool.... that is used for cleaning =)
