You see my friend if I don't believe myself,I could be unsocial and I wont trust myself,I will lose my friend.So I should believe myself. Its easy you wont lie or trick yourself.Its THE SOUND FROM INSIDE.And nice question.

that's easy i believe what i believe because i have to believe something to grasp some kind of reality in the world and if i didn't believe in anything then i'll be living in a fantasy world where my beliefs are easily destroyed day by day in every interaction producing major psychological and behavioral problems. so i believe what i believe to steer off any negative or additive stress in my days. so believing is a survival tactic as you can see. believe me if you want, of course.

Theory backed up by experience (Sometimes) my own ideas! A;so a mix of culture ingrained during childhood/teenage years and life experience, how it fared compared to theory or other people's values! And i don't believe anything said to me not unless ... I want to! But what i do believe in ... I really do and feel strongly about it.

I think the answer is because we find something true in the statement that we are meant to believe, or that it is the product of logical thinking.

Because I was fortunate enough to know people in my life that I saw truth and peace in, and I realized they had a Holy Spirit in them that I did not see in any other people. And then I came close to God and realized He is truth and justice and He loves me and my life hasn't been the same since!
(Not to say all people who call themselves Christians are, because I have known liars and deceivers as well. But the people I have known that have had a countenance of peace and love and truth have been TRUE people of God)

I try not to be a product of advertising and generations of conditioning, but where else do we get the images of the world? From others who are influenced by these things?
