What is the conversion of a European ring size of 21 to a U.S. ring size?

My soon-to-be husband says his ring size is 21 in a European size, but what is the U.S. equivelent size? I have found sizes ranging from 9 1/2 to 11 1/4....

I am not sure exactly which European size you are talking about: Is it German or Swiss? Anyway, I hope this chart can help you.

I don't know about conversion, but most people's ring size is the same or close to their shoe size.
