You're dead wrong. I remember a man by the name of Doug Williams (a black quarterback) who quarterbacked the Washington Redskins to a blowout victory over the Denver Broncos in the late 80's. I know the year and which Superbowl but I figure you need to go do some research so look it up. Peace
He started the 5 games at the end of the regular season and all the playoff games and the Superbowl. I think that qualifies him as a starting quarterback. Does anyone but the asker of this question disagree?

I don't think it has anything to do with black or white. Look back at how many black quarterbacks there have been in the NFL through the years. Mostly quarterbacks are white, until resently. Warren Moon and Randell Cunningham were the only really good ones for years. Now we are seeing more and more black quarterbacks. Mike Vick, Vince Young, and Mcnabb. Think about the percentages of starting white qb's to black in the NFL right now. Think about it the ratio of starting qb's is like 4:1 in favor of white qb's. By the way Doug Williams won with the redskins. So now that black quarterbacks becoming more common. I know we will see more winning.

To my knowledge, there has never been a black quarterback who has won the Superbowl. I believe that only 2 have gone, Doug Williams in 1988 for the Redskins, and Steve McNair in 2000 for the Titans. : )

You are wrong. Doug Williams was the QB for the Washington Redskins in a 55-10 asskicking of the Broncos in the 80's.

Probably for the same reason Chinese quarterbacks don't win superbowls. I think it all boils down to leadership ability coupled with a tenacious defense. It doesn't matter what color he is - if he has leadership ability (on the field and off), the talent and luck to put it together, and a defense out of this world, he'll win the super bowl.

Doug Williams! Come on!
One player, no matter how good (See: Dan Marino) isn't going to win you a super bowl. So let's not blame the black QB.
McNair and Mcnabb have been in the super bowl, Culpepper has been to the conference title game. It depends on the QB, you can't generalize.
The one thing I would generalize is that the college style scrambling quarterback will not be successful in the NFL long-term. These types of QB's tend to be black, but the lack of success is the style of play and not because they're black.
NFL defenses are too big, strong, and fast. NFL QB's need to be able to pass from the pocket. Mike Vick cannot, but Mcnair, Mcnabb, Culpepper, Leftwhich, even Brooks have proved that they can be successful.
