I agree with Jeff this morning on CBS when he said that there hasn't been enough ethnic people on Survivor in the past. This way there's an equal amount. I think in the end people will root for who they think are good players. Take Big Brother for instance. I like Janelle because she's an awesome player not because of the color of her skin. Too bad everyone can't be that way! I pray one day for that. I think I will enjoy this upcoming season, I look forward to September! Survivor was getting a little boring, this will give the show some much needed pizazz.............

I think it's despicable. True, not enough different ethnicities on the show, but splitting them up is going to fan the flames of racism. I can't imagine all the crap the writers are going to come up with for the people in the different groups to say. Shame on the people who are going along with it for the money.

Who said that the networks have a social conscience. It's still about the bottom line and controversy sells.

I agree with Jeff's statement that there have been way more white people than any other ethnicity, but that doesn't mean divide them up by color! It means bring even things out in the upcoming season. You can do that just fine without dividing tribes up by race. Horrible idea.

I think that's great... dividing the tribes by race is something that is a long time coming... just as long as they stay away from the water sports the Blacks should do pretty well but even a few of them have admitted that Black people don't do well in water sports... THEIR WORDS... NOT MINE... several have said it in past episodes.

I like the idea.
I think it is a little controversial as the public willhave to have a bit of angst about it and comment one way or another ... but I see nothing about people of like background and culture, banning together and trying to outwit, outlast, outplay....
It should be taken in the spirit it was intended.... it's ok to be different and to acknowledge and celebrate our cultural differences.
I'm looking forward to it.

i don't think its right at all. What are they trying to do, prove that one race is better than the others? I agree that it's great to have more ethnic people on the show, but instead of seperating them, they should have tribes with all different races combined. That would send a much better messege.

It sounds like a dumb idea. I don't see the point in it. Separate but what? This is just supposed to be a contest of skill and endurance. This one may come to backfire on the show especially if people start curcing one another.

Probably a bad idea. No one really wants to see "White People" or "Black People" fight against each other. They don't have to do race, they can just pick the most dynamic people to get on.

Then again, I'm probably wrong. People probably do want to see "White People" against "Black People" against "Latino People" against "Asian People".

It will only work if you give the African-American tribe some kind of advantage......like affirmative action in real life.
