Iam 18 years old 5'2 and just got sighned to a modeling company in chicago to model around the world for magazines, when i sent my application i sent two shots of me head only, my body i so no where out of shape but also does not look like a model, i look like a regualr girl with an exotic look, I dont know weather or not to loose weight for october or to have them take me as iam

Well, I am a model myself. The majority of model work requires you be a minimum of 5'7". I am 5'10" and wear a zero. Most people are looking for long, tall and lean to better show off their products. Someone really tall is going to sell clothes better than someone short because the clothes look better on the tall body type. What you need to do is make sure you don't pay ANYTHING. If they ask you to, you are being taken for a ride. If you want, send me a note and I'll give you some websites that are free for models, are legit and you can get your portfolio done for free. well modeling agencies seem to go for the anorexic look unfortunately! but that doesnt mean you have too. there are other agencies otu there that like toned bodies, so it you have some baby fat them get rid of it in a safe manner! diet and exercise. not starving your self and getting an eatig disorder, youll never be the same agian if you go down that path. im surprised you got signed to a contract being at that height! most models on average are 5'9 or 5'10 hehe. good luck though and just be safe and if you get rejected from a casting get over it! and dont give up there are plenty of people out there who will love your "exotic look" =)

I would not necessarily lose weight but make sure you are fit. It's amazing the size they want you to be to be a body model, however if you are only 5'2" my feeling is they want you for head shots only. Usually runway or body models are at least 5'10" minimum. Make them take you as you are and if they want you to lose weight, at that point you can make the call if you want to change yourself for this type of career.

If I were you I wouldnt concentrate losting weight but maybe going to the gym to get toned up, there maybe other modeling jobs that might interest you at some point and iits easier when you are in shape and it shows.

You might want to loose a few pounds since "skinny is in" in hollywood.
However 5'2 is short for a world renowned model so ??
