If you cheat on him its a waste of everyone’s time, you'll feel even more detached from your bf. Let's face it your bf won't like you any better if he finds out and the cheatee will feel I used in your revenge plot.
·If it was only once with someone that's not close to you...
I'd ask yourself if you really love your bf? If so, has he said sorry? If so, let him know your finding it difficult, if he doesn't help go out with him on nights out and make sure he knows you love him so he doesn't have top cheat again.
If your desperate to save your relationship ask him if he minds that you read his texts/emails. If so he's got something to feel guilty about.
·More than once or with your mum/brother/sister/gran/best friend...
Get rid!! Plenty more fish in the sea -seriously!! Don’t waste the best years of your life!

There is no such thing as getting over something quickly especially when he abused your trust in him. I would seriously look into the love side of things. Do you truely still love him and want to be with him after what he did?
And can you ever forgive him and build up that trust again? If the answer is 'I dont know' you need to be apart and time to think about this. Personally if my hubby cheated on me he would be aout the door, because there is or has to be a reason why he strayed. Find out in detail why he looked elsewhere.
It might be that he has lost that attraction he once felt for you. It's no excuse though, if he really didn't love you anymore he should have been up front and told u. If you think about it more often than not you really need to tackle it and deal with it, otherwise if you carry on letting him convince you that it was a mistake he may well do it to you again.

Once a cheat, always a cheat. How can you trust this man? I believe that once you forgive him he feels that it would be ok to do it again. No amount of love or reassurance will make you feel better, its time you believe in yourself and put a bit more value into your own self worth and leave him. It will only make you stronger. I know its painful, but somewhere out there is a man who will love you with respect and who will believe in you and only have eyes for you. If you stay with this cheating boyfriend it will crush your self confidence.

my bf cheated on me a few times when we were younger and when i found out it tore me apart. he was desperately sorry for what he did but even so it took about two years (!) to get over. they were tough years and we split up briefly several times. but we both wanted the relationship to work, and six years later we are married and trust each other 100%, and the difficult times seem like a lifetime ago. if you think your bf is genuinely a good guy who made a stupid mistake then my advice would be to stick with it because you will get over it eventually. but if not then you should move on. basically you need to trust your gut instinct i think.
ps i think what finally helped me get over it was when (during one of our 'breaks') i had a rather enjoyable fling with someone else! perhaps not the most adult approach but it worked - and bf certainly learnt his lesson! but be careful if you take that approach...

i went through the same thing, and I feel exactly the same, this happened about 6 months ago now, and I still think of it. We have to try to get this paranoia out of our minds if we want to stay with these men as it will destroy the relationship honey. Get your man to give you lots of reassurance and love. There is no quick fix for this, it will take time, but if he treats you right, the memories will fade. Good luck xxxxxxxxxxxx

Why are you worried about being over your b/f cheating you? The memory will fade but you will never be over it (the occurrance of thinking about it will lessen but you are never over it). I love some one right now but fate has it that they will be going to Australia. I cannot follow on and will not see this person again. If you truly forgive your b/f then don't let this memory plague you, or you could lose this person. If he cheats again then your friendship/relationship is over.

I dont think you can get over it that quick. I went through that already and it was super hard,I tried it again but i couldnt handle it. I had tp let him go i couldnt face the fact that i gave him everything and he went on and did that to me. Im happy that you are trying to work things and i really wish you the best. I dont think that you are over it because you think about it every moment. Just do what your heart tells you sometimes we have to go through rain to see the rainbow.. Good Luck!!!!!

i just cheated on my boyfriend and man oh man i'm regretting it majorly now. He found out and i'm at an all time low. i kissed someone else, thats it no further, only once. it meant nothing. this guy showed me affection when i really needed some. my boyfriend found out yesterday, and he's thinking of giving it another go. I never thought i'd do it to him, i never even really wanted to, but god i hope he will forgive me for it. i hope that you can tell me that you can get over it, cos i really want him to - i'm desperate for him to have me back. xxxx please say its possible to put things in the past

Leave him-if he cheated on u before, he's do it again-no matter how they try leopards don't change their spots. Go out and do fun things with ur friends, family or even by urself. To get over my ex I took a trip alone by myself and it was worth it.

This is really not right. You either forgive him if he's worth it coz people make mistakes. But if you do the same to him, you will be over it in no time at all. But after all, your values are stronger, and so are you.
