no, because they basically have no military. The German population is shrinking, and their economy is crap.

I am an American. Now I don't know a whole hell of a lot about Germany. But what I do know is that if they were to become a military threat towards our cousins in the United Kingdom. The United States would help you all out. We stand beside the United Kingdom today and forever.

If Europe hasn't learned from World Wars 1 and 2, they deserve to be taken over by Germany again.

First Germany would need to amend its Constitution. After the WWII, the re-written constitution put huge restrictions on the numbers and size of the German army. They can't deploy outside of Germany either. There was a big hoopla several years back when German troops were sent to Bosnia because they weren't under the UN and by some German law, German troops weren't allowed to be stationed outside of Germany.

Germany is lucky they can manage to grow their economy every year, before they become a military power large enough to threaten Europe they have alot of problems to solve internally.

It happened twice in the last Century. It wouldn't surprise me if they tried again. Germany is already trying to gain control of the EU, and France is helping them. Anti-Semitism is on the rise again in Europe (Germany and France especially) and the Neo-Nazi Movement is becoming stronger. History tends to repeat itself.

No, Germany has change so much in the last 50 years. Even if it had the military might it does not have the desire.

Only if it wants to be. They are technically capable of being a military threat, but then, so are MOST countries. The key thing is motivation.

Perhaps they could, but why should they? Europe is not thinking in those terms anymore, we are working on a closer economic community.
