the movie shows but i hear no sound

the dvd drive in my 'puter shows movie files but with no audio.but when i play vcd both audio and video shows.

your audio cables should also bet hooked up to your tv input jack. The audio cables are typically red and white whereas the visual cable is usually yellow. Make sure you have red and white cables hooked up between your dvd player and your tv. If you do and you still don't hear anything, you may have a problem. Make sure the tv's not on mute! good luck.

You dvd player should have an audio cable connecting it to the sound card. If that is not there you wont hear sound. Plug in a set of headphones direct in the dvd player, if you hear sound there it could be a missing cable.

As has been stated, if it's a DVD Player, check the connections and cables.

If this is in your computer, check your audio settings. If you could update this question, that would really help narrow down the problem. As well, if this is a DVD-ROM (in your computer) of some sort, you may need to attach the audio connection cable to your audio card in your computer.

make sure the audion cables are in the right jacks....the audio cables are the red and whit ones........if that isnt the problem...you need to be more specific....are the cables plugged directly into the tv...or are they plugged into a stereo or something.........

did you plug in the white plug and the yelow plug if not try that
