I am about to start the final year of my a graphic design degree. I want to be a Visual Merchandiser, however I feel better job prospects exist in Web Design. What do you think? Is there a future in combining the two; if so, how?

i think the market is flooded with webdesigners - good VM's are always saught after. Businesses are now often using a DIY webdesign

Everyone and there mother wants to get into web design so the market is flooded and so the oppertunities limited. Go for visual merchandiser (what is that I haven't heard of it?)

there will always be a tussle for talent, wherever u go :)

go where u feel more inclined, both fields have good opportunities :)
