Rabbits don't like to be held and there is nothing you can do about it. They don't like being picked up because they are prey animals and it feels like they are in danger. Also if you pick her up incorrectly she could squirm and break her back. The best thing you can do is to sit in a large pen with her and read. That way she can get used to the sight and smell of you without fear that you'll pick her up. You should read the book the House Rabbit Handbook and go to these websites.

My rabbit got to the point that it took a chunk out of my leg, even though i handled her every day. Some rabbits just don't like it.

Try to give it treats and talk soothingly. When you hold it try to be sitting. Pet its head.

If you did not accustom it to being handled when it was little, now might be too late.
