Probably the one we haven't discovered is a hoax yet. There is one that still makes the rounds, though--a book called The History of the Toilet. It's the one that states that Taft put the first toilet in the White House, and that Thomas Crapper invented the toilet. The author later admitted it was all a hoax, but not before it was accepted by many people as fact. Evidence of toilets with running water has been found even in Roman forts along Hadrian's Wall. So any time you hear a "historical" fact about the toilet, take it with a grain of salt.

The Cardiff Giant is a pretty good one too. It started when a guy was arguing with a minister about the Bible. The Minister said that everything in the Bible should be taken literaly, even the line "there were Giants in the Earth in those days". So the hoaxer hit on the idea of making a "fossil" giant, burying it and then having it discovered by a farmer who was in on the plot. They made a fortune.
Genius!

I would say that the greatest Hoax was about the creation of the crop circles. At first I was really keen to believe that It was created by aliens. How wrong I was.

Well, guess I better jump on the bandwagon, huh? Noah's Ark. We've found gabillion year old dinosaur bones but we can't find a wooden cruise ship in the middle of the desert. Speaking of wood, yeah Kreevich, I feel you dude but don't forget - before that there was Osiris's story. Now, I believe in Christ but was he crucified? Hmmm? Of course there's that Bush as president thing, I mean, how silly is THAT! Bush Jr is president, lol!
