There are a lot of people I wish I had not lost touch with...but I don't think I would want to meet up with them again, looking the way I do now is certainly not the way they saw me back then.

There are 2.
My childhood best friend. I moved away when we were 12. My parents allowed me to call her once a month, (it was long distance) and after a while, we lost touch. It would have been nice to see her when I went back to my hometown for vacation this summer, but I couldn't locate her.
The other was my first boyfriend. We dated a while and remained friends afterward. We were really close friends and I tried to keep in contact with him also after we moved. I lost touch with him shortly after.

No, my past is always my present. I hate losing touch with people especially ones I care alot about. If I lose touch it is usually the other persons fault, not mine. I often think about my past and I guess maybe i should leave it in the past, but I don't. I always keep memories, friends, etc close to my mind and even closer to my heart.

Yes, one of my closest friends in high school, M.S.
He always seemed to know what was wrong with me when I was down and had just the right thing to say. Plus he just had this..this way of making me feel like I mattered. I honestly feel that if not for him, I most likely wouldn't be alive right now and for that I will be eternally greatful. I've tried finding him with no luck, but I hope he is having a wonderful life because he deserves it

Sure is. My buddy Jeff Junod. The last time any of us heard from him was New Year's Eve 2004. Not sure if he left the state, ended up in legal trouble, or maybe even croaked. But I sure do miss him...I love him like a brother.

My husband had a girl/woman who after twenty five years contacted him by sending him a letter in the mail...said she found him on the Internet.
She said that she heard that he got married and asked him if he was Happy??
She explained to him that she was recently divorced.
She later (about two weeks) was given his cell phone number and contacted him.
Funny.......She didn't ask if I was Happy....and she wasn't too happy when I called her back......
She quit calling........I wonder what she thinks about this question?
Some things are better left in the Past.

past is past.
though i seldom make new friends, i still would rather let the past remain as such.
it is sometimes too painful to meet someone once very dear to you, be it be a friend or lover. both of you have already moved on, and reliving it might open up old wounds.

As a matter of fact,yes.
I lost touch with my cousin,she travels a lot,and I don't see her that much.It is really sad,but that's life.
Of course,I try to get through her,to talk to her.I would do almost anything to have the same relationship with her as it was before.
