I'm interested, especially if you work/invest in this area and have a good idea about what is going on in the industry, mostly U.S. Who are the major players? Where is the best area? Does it have a future? If so, what obstacles must it overcome?

I think the concept is great. The Amish have been using it on their farms for a century since they don't want electricity.

One practical problem is that the turbines are noisy. I once worked with a guy who added a turbine to his energy-efficient house. The noise drove the neighbors crazy. I think the commercial ones in the desert or out offshore are the way to go.

I think it is a very good idea. I see many windturbines here in the Netherlands, and in Germany, and I fel there should be many more. There will always be wind, and it is not dependend on the Middle East.

Coastal zones ad extended flat areas would be best, IMO.

The main obstacle is the smell, but my wind is very powerful.
