I had them. Despite all the stories about putting nail varnish on them, or cotton string around them, the only way to get rid of them, is to go to the doctor. He will use one of two methods.
Electrical burning: He numbs the area and uses a small tool to burn it off. It doesn't hurt, and the tag comes off right away, but will leave a tiny scar.
Freezing: They use liquid CO2 to freeze it off. They don't numb the area, so it stings for a second. But its over quickly and leaves no scar. It will form a scab and the tag will fall off in two days.
It's up to you which method you'd like to use, but believe me, no home remedies help, go to the doctor.

Nail clippers work pretty good. Stop the bleeding with a styptic stick

The doctor can remove them or you can slice them off with a razor blade if you are brave enough.

tie sum cotton round em n dey should drop off... cotton has to b tied tight prob best to get sum 1 to do it 4 u! or... go to ur dr and dey cn burn/freeze dem off i fink!

go to the doctors...they can cut them off for you, i believe.
