This is an awesome film.. You really learn to appreciate your own humanity, knowing that if a machine can have a heart, you should be using yours, too.

Excellent job by Robin by the way.

I liked it simply because it was based on the robotic laws of Isaac Aasimov (the pioneer/grandfather of science-fiction) and add to that a Robin Williams which is trying to be toned-down during most of the film.

It's not such a bad film per se, although it did seem to focus more on the human melo drama, the concepts of sentiet lifeforms, and basically was too "long" for today's audience.

I would say it's an OK film with a great idea and a great concept, but there's just a little something about it which makes it seem a bit "off".

I'm waiting for it to drop in price on DVD and get to the cheapie bins!

It is an ongoing debate about what makes a person a person. In some since the answer given is that we choose to live knowing that we must one day die. At least that is the way the movie plays out. Can animals and machines be human? Who knows? You can also watch I Robot and Blade Runner if you like the concept.
