you need to have children to best help yourself learn..... then after 5 or 6 years you will have adapted a patience and tolerance that will give you respect and the will to want to teach and set examples.....
i was the same years ago, i hated thick stupid sarcastic people who dragged on and on and on about the smallest talk you could imagine and whom often made no sense and thought they were great and often told lies, so i know what youre going through..... today i have a whole new approach ,attitude , respect ,tolerence and a sense of caring for all

Lower IQ ? Why just this yard stick? People have emotional, mental, physical and spiritual measurements and probably a whole lot more I'm not capable of understanding.
Patience comes out of emotional maturity and has nothing to do with IQ. There is always someone higher up or lower down whatever scale you choose to use. So what gives anyone the right to sit in judgement about anything, be it patience/impatience or anthing else?

What good is a significantly higher IQ if you can not tolerate others or show patience or compassion. I would like to believe that the population with the higher IQ's would set the tone of behavior for the rest of the society.

I would find it hard to be impatient with EVERYONE. No but seriously, I don't really think IQ in itself means that much. People who are less intelligent on the other hand, well if they ask stupid questions, or get annoyed with me for getting better results than them, or can't see why I am interested in Science for instance, then yes I do run out of patience. But that is hardly a lot of people really, and intelligence is by no means the determining factor in your relationship with other people. If I had a friend through skate boarding, and we liked talking about that, then I doubt I would care one bit how intelligent he might be. I think that you would have to be so stupid to be impatient with everyone you consider to be of a lower standard than yourself that your intelligence would drop so rapidly and you would be left with the lowest IQ ever.

I have patience with everyone. Mentioning IQ as a reason for having patience leads me to belive that you are of a lower IQ then most people.

Yes I do. I don't however, have patience with people who have the same or higher IQ (figuratively speaking) and just choose to act like idiots.. those are the people that I have no patience with.

Yes because I don't believe that people with lower IQs scores are necessairly less intelligent than I am, because there are problems with the validity of IQ as a measure of intelligence (does it really measure what's supposed to measure-Intelligence, or just IQ). E.g. it could be affected by things such as race, class and culture (traditional IQ tests are geared towards white middle-class people).

How do I know if their lower IQ isnt caused by some kind of learning ailment? Kids have a lower IQ and i can be patient with them so i guess so.
