Try Split Infinity by Piers Anthony. It's a wild ride and a fast, easy read. And there are more books in the series.

Hi! I love Fantasy 2. you can try:
-The Wheel of Time series by Robert Jordan
-The Shannara series by Terry Brooks
-A song of Ice and Fire by George R.R. Martin
-The Blegariad by David Eddings
-The Elenium by David Eddings
-The Crystal Cave series by Mary Stewart

Those are the good ones I can think about. Nothing can compare to Lord of the Rings but these are pretty good. The best were The Crystal Cave and A song of Ice and Fire - they wee amazing in their own way but you'l also like the others...
ENJOY!!!

Try The Belgariad and The Mallorean By David Eddings. It is a series of 10 books and is excellent! there is also two other books that tie into the series called Belgarath the Sorcerer, and Polgara the Sorceress. I am also a fan of Tolkien and I enjoyed these books alot. Go here to learn about the Belgariad (warning story spoilers!) ... http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/The_Belgariad

Try any of the Forgotten Realms novels. My favorites are the Hunters Blade Trilogy, and the Tangled Web. These books make for a great escape and since you already read fantasy novels, it'll be easy for you to figure out what's what.

Let me know how that works out.

Try the Shannara books by Terry Brooks. The first one came out in 1977 (The Sword of Shannara) and there are over a dozen of them now.

Look up the Author's name online. He has a whole string on fantasy novels and things of that nature. He even has seperate stories on just hobbits. It's great. And they all link. By JR Tolkien .. it's called 'Hobbit'. You'll love it. It's the chapter before Lord of the Rings.
