How about Rick O'Connell (Brendan Frasier) in The Mummy. Or, Sam Wheat (Patrick Swayze) in Ghost. I have to say The Notebook has the best example though.

I saw an episode of Masters of Horror when it first came out and in one of the episodes "Dance of the Dead", there's this guy named Jak. At first, he seemed like a badass but he was kinda sweet. I would love to see someone like that for real.

those kinds of guys are out there, you just have to look for them a little harder.
they are usually not the hot hard body type or trendy guy. you sometimes have to look to a man who may not be your idea of ideal to find what you are truly looking for.
I am not saying that all good looking guys are shallow, but a great majority of them are focused on themselves and what they can achieve.
Think of how much fun you could have helping the "nerdy" or "fashion challenged" guy become trendier!
