The same diference as a '49 VW Buggy and a '06 Ferrari Enzo.

Translation: about 200 times more power with the stalion

Plus: T1 is fast to download stuff off of. Good for servers for comercial companies, not for use of consumers. Optical cable is the fastest. but comcast isn't too far behind. I have both, optical on my desktops, and comcast wifi on my laptops, they're pretty close.

It's because of the small bandwidth. Dialup is only about 36kpbs, and T1 is usually 2.5 Mbps. The difference is about 70 times faster downloads, and once you connect to a page, it downloads all the images and text much faster. Sometimes you still wait to connect to pages when there is network traffic. It depends on the server you are connecting to. You never wait for actual pages to load with T1 or any other high speed service.

If you want the fastest internet connection you want Comcast at the highest bandwidth available. It probably goes up to like 8 or 10 Mbps. This is faster than T1, and cable doesn't have as many network problems, because it's not on the phone line, like T1 is.

Dialup deals with a pair of copper wires sending an analog signal which has to be converted to digital at the modem. It's slow because that's all the wires can handle.

Comcast digital internet speed varies depending upon the service you get - it's very comparable to a T1, and many times faster than dialup.

It's a case of horse and buggy versus the automobile.

Dial-up connection is so slow because connecting this way cause use little value of telephone wires , but in high speed connection like ADSL whole the value use to transfer the data , so the faster data transferred it make the Internet speed higher . Using high speed connection is better than dial-up in many cases : 1- it doesn't occupy your telephone line , 2- it has so high speed in transferring data ,3- it has in good range of fee , 4- you are connected to the Internet whole the day and you can use Internet when you log on to your computer , and ......

Dial up is the slowest method to surf the net. Also depends on the traffice of the website you go to and how complicated the website is, some web pages could take minutes to completely download to your computer.
