Can someone tell me why my laptop is not able to access certain websites? I am not sure how I disengage whatever is stopping me from reaching certain sites. Some are adult oriented, but not all. I keep getting an error message. I have gone into tools and reset my computer to accept all cookies, and to let me into all content. I am receiving a wifi signal, do they block certain sites from being accessed with the wifi?

Some companies block certain sites from being accessed. Are you connecting through some companies wifi connection or do you connect from home? Is there antivirus software or nanny (software which block some sites) software on the computer? It sounds like from your description your computer is not what is blocking the sites. It sounds like someone else from the wifi provider has blocked them. What screen do you see when trying to access these sites? If the answer is something to the effect of "Blocked; the site contains sexual content which is against xyz policy" then it's not a computer issue.

Check your web browser to see if you can turn off parental control.
