my husband says he sometimes sees a blue light hovering near my side of the bed at night. What could it be?

What could the blue hovering light be and why would it be there?

I was asleep when he saw. He said this is about the fourth time in two months that he saw it. It kind of hovered in the air, next to my side of the bed. He woke me up, but I would not look. It scared me to think about it

When we sleep our souls come out and play at night. Usually they are pretty careful not to be seen but every so often they get caught. It's your happy spirit.

It could be some kind of illusion, or it might be a light from outside somewhere that only shines through the window at certain times due to the angle of the Sun, the Moon or an artificial light source. It could be these:

a ray of light that reflects from the moon to something that catches the ray.

his night vision is kind of blurry and the color blue is reflecting.

if you believe in angels or things of that nature, blue light is suppose to be a spirit, it can be a loved one that has passed.

It could be your aura, or an optical illusion. The reason for it being there is hard to say without knowing more, such as how long is it there, when was the first time he saw it, how are you sleeping, is it restful sleep or are you tossing and turning. The list goes on and on.
