What is your opinion on the state of your penis?

Are you circumcised or uncircumcised? Do you like it that way? Do you ever wonder what life would be like if you were different?

The US remains the only country that routinely performs circumcision for anything other than a religious reason. The American Medical Association and the American Association of Paediatrics both state that routine circumcision is unnecessary and not recommended.

Removal of the foreksin also deprives the adult male of thousands of nerve endings that would otherwise add to pleasure during sex. And because the glans is permanently exposed, and not protected by the foreskin, circumcised men develop a layer of insensitve keratin on the glans, reducing sensitivity.

Unfortunately, there is nothing that circumcised men can do to get back what they've lost; but they can ensure their children are not put through this unnecessary operation.

There is no medical evidence to suggest circumcision is cleaner, prevents STDs, or HIV transmission - these were once widely held beliefs, but have been rejected by all recent studies.

I'm uncircumcised and I like it that way. I've never had any problems with it and don't intend on having any problems that I can't fix myself anyway. Sometimes I wonder what it'd be like if I were circumcised, but most of the time I'm just annoyed how people malign the foreskin when they don't have one or never got a chance to know and enjoy theirs before it's taken away. At the very least the choice to get cut is mine and mine alone, it's more than I can say for many others.

I'm uncut, and I still don't get how cut guys masturbate. Like do they have to have lube or else its too dry?

I think like most uncut guys I've worried about what a girl thinks about it, but it really isn't a big deal most can't tell or don't notice when its in them anyways. You get the anteater and the turtleneck jokes, but just learn to laugh at them. Honestly, an uncut penis does look kind of funny - but penises in general are not that nice looking.

I'm also glad I don't have some nasty scar or discoloration, and I've heard a lot of circumcisions are not very professional and are botched or too tight. I'd rather just keep it the way I was born, like most of the rest of the world. I know there's pros and cons, but ultimately I believe we shouldn't remove a piece of skin from someone for no valid reason. We don't take out tonsils or appendixes from babies when they're born, and female circumcision would decrease HIV transmission too, but we don't do any of that.

I've wondered what it feels like to be cut but I can't say it could be any more enjoyable then what I have - they're missing something, a lot of nerves. I suppose when your stabbing a **** with it it doesn't matter.

I'm cut and I like it, as it's all I know. And I recently discovered that I don't mind guys that are uncut as much as I thought I might, so I really don't think about being different much.
