I guess it depends on your personal beliefs. Some religions state that married sex is immoral unless it is for the purpose of becoming pregnant only. So it's really up to you and what you believe.

Basically, if you know that this is the person that you plan to spend the rest of your life with, it is, or can be, morally except able. The piece of paper, does not marry you. And it certainly won't keep you together. A license is for the legality of it, concerning children and property, etc. When people wanted to be together in the day of Jesus, there were no formal wedding ceremonies. No marriage licenses either. But for the recording purposes, unions had to be declared concerning children and property, with the governing body of the land.
Same thing today. If you plan on being with that person, and not just play house, then it should not be considered immoral. After 7 years, it's common law marriage anyway. If any children are born to that union, it would be considered immoral if you don't marry, to give the child the last name of the father, legally.

How can it be immoral? As far as i know.. the bible only says adultery is immoral... and if you think back to ancient times anyways there was no formal marriage.
