I work at Lowes, and eveone there is rude and stuck up. And the managers treat u bad. Like yesterday myself and one other guy went to lunch and it took an half hour longer than normal, I was yelled at but not him. We did the same thing. Along with other annoying things.

jobs like that come a dime a dozen. if you dont like how you are being treated, then quit, you'll find another job in no time!

Yeah, dealing with annoying things like too long of a lunch is tough. If I were you, I'd stay at Lowes and try and follow the rules. Forget how others are treated and worry about yourself. This is not a community effort. It has to do with you keeping your job and hopefully being able to pay your bills and maybe even move up the ladder. Do what they expect and then some, and I guessing the management will lay off you.

Positively speaking, you should take the signal from manager yelling at you particularly indicates that you are better favored between the two of you fellow colleagues. The anger is in fact against the other and not you. People always bark at the wrong tree, as it is easier to take vent on the silent ones.
Negatively tackling the situation, you can take tough stance and show an attitude of defiance in your body language.
It is not a big mistake not sticking to schedules once in a while.
Changing the jobs does not solve the problem. Keep the job and change yourself.

Okay, so you broke the rule and you're ticked cuz you were caught? Am I missing something? Did you try and "tattle" on the other guy too? Is it even possible he had told his boss he needed to take a long lunch because he needed to do something?

Quit if you want to - but frankly, you won't be happy in your next job or the one after that until you change your attitude!

no you shouldnt because at these low level jobs all the bosswes are the same. And since they could hire a thousand people for the same pay, hes not gonna take any crap like being late for lunch so just follow the rules.

even in retail, its never good to quit your job without another in hand. If you are unhappy at your current position, why dont you find something else, give proper notice (2 wks is good), and then quit. try to work at the same place for at least a year...it looks better on a resume which will open you up to higher paying positions down the road. you always want to plan ahead and look at the big picture. i'm a staffing recruiter...hope that helps.

I personally cannot judge you on your character, because I don`t know you. You did admit to being late from lunch and was your friend with you when your boss yelled at you. The bottom line you were late!! My advice would be if you`re not happy, find another job before you resign this one. Please give a two week notice,if possible. DON`T BURN ANY BRIDGES WITH LOWES!!! You may need them for a Reference in the future. BEST OF LUCK!

No. Keep your job.

Find out where the manager lives, and go beat the shiit out of him. Let him know if he fecks with you at work, you'll kill him. For more on how to do this, see a film called Bad Influence.

Learn to do his job better than he does, and take it from him. Or unionize the whole place.

I was at lowes this afternoon.... the girl who was checking the receipts as you exit the gate checked this one guy who got irate...

she later said "have a nice day sir" as the @$$h0Le exited. And just under her breath loud enough for everyone to hear she said "Asshole".

She was right! But still that is bad customer relations policy. I'm never going back to that Lowe's.
