Sorry Dezi Ann, but tigers are found in Asia, not Africa. That would be the lion. And there are a few Asiatic lions in the Gir Forest of India.
Now the polar bear would be more powerful, only because it is bigger than the two cats. A full grown polar bear is the largest land carnivore and can weigh over a thousand lbs. The male siberian tiger weighs about 500-600lbs. And the male African lion weighs in between 450-500lbs.
Now if it was a liger, which is the offspring of a male African lion and a female tiger, the liger would probably be more powerful. The liger is in fact the largest living feline in the world. The siberian tiger is the largest naturally occuring feline in the world. The liger can also weigh over a 1,000lbs. And cats are more carnivorous than the polar bear, for cats eats nothing but meat.

As a general rule if any given bear and tiger weigh they exact same weight the tiger will virtually always win the fight. For example a 600 pound tiger and a 600 pound bear the tiger will be the victor. However, when a bear is twice the mass of a tiger the bear will be victorious. For example, a 1,000 pound polar bear is more powerful than a 500 pound tiger.

Surely the polar bear followed by the Siberian Tiger and then the Lion. Actually though lions are 'Kings of the Jungle' They are quiet lazy.

well first of all the Tiger is not even in the JUNGLE but the plains of africa. the tiger and lion are both strong willed with powerfull jaws and runnin' stregth, but the bear has the muscle, fat, and weight to back itself for a long time. they can swim for miles and run at speeds past 40 miles an hour. So I say the bear is much more powerfull.
don't get me wrong here my favorite of all three are the tigers.

I think the answer depends on whether you're talking about the male or female of the species, the location of the competition (if they're directly competing), and whether power is measured in terms of how they usually use their strength.
For example, female lions hunt in packs, while tigers hunt individually. And polar bears are better adapted for swimming and hunting in cold weather than lions.
And are you measuring their muscle power, brain power, power as a symbol in a specific culture, etc?

Well I would have to say the polar bear. Just look at the behaviours which it employs to catch its food. It can jump through solid ice, swat and kill an adult seal with one swipe, and then drag it out of the water with its jaws. The seals arent small either they can weigh upwards of 500 pounds!
Thats a very impressive display of brute strength if you ask me!
