so, yea after a team scores a TD or a field goal, my game will freeze for like a second or 2, is this normal or what??

That's when your Little computer Players are doing their
Little Victory Dance or jumping into the stands or calling
someone on their cell phone(was that Joe Horne?)
Signing an autograph. ....someTHING like that.

....John Madden was so embarrassed by it,
that he had those parts "blacked out".
