Can anyone recommend some books to teach Phonics to children?

I know all the rules, but I don't know how to teach them to a child. What are some good books to explain to a child Silent E, When two vowels are walking, the first one does the talkign (OA, AY, AI), long and short vowels.

The library has 3 great sets of book series in the beginning reader, or "Primer" collections. The 1st set is by "Foster and Erickson," The second set are written by Jane Belk Moncure and the third that I recommend are called "Real Kids Readers." The 1st and last sets start from basics and go up as the child masters each set of phonics and word sounds. The library may own Hooked on Phonics and if not, they can order it for you from another library to loan to you.
